The article is about how after the results of the presidential election were announced, people rioted at how the election was unfair and the voting was rigged. Some security officers had to fire rubber bullets and or tear gas in order to calm the people. Over 500 people were captured during the breakout.
The political breakout was completely unnecessary. Here in America, elections are won and lost, but we don't intentionally harm others with riots. That is inhumane that they would try to harm people because they aren't happy.
This article directly relates to the past and present of Djibouti politics. First, the riot shows how seriously the people take their government elections. Also, back in the Arab Spring, Djibouti had many riots occur due to unrest in what was going on in the political field.
